Been changing some old non lockable isolators over to new lockable ones today for 2 lifts in a hospital. and with the amount of flashing and arc-ing from the neutrals when they touched the casing (as i was taking them out of the old isolator) was unreal. like it has 230v down it. It was fine to touch and testers didn't read anything. Ive had it before but never that bad. The isolator feed was from a mini form which is only tp isolated.

My question is why does this happen? Is it the neutrals connected in the bar finding a better way to earth rather than down the neutral conductor back to the sub?
