Will the 10 year life battery alarms e.g. Ei650RF link to the normal mains powered alarms with the RF module?

My open plan kitchen/living room currently has an Ei 144 RC mains wired heat alarm fitted.
Would an EI 3024 fit the current 144rc fitting
My understanding is that the fittings are universal for the same manufacturer.
Would someone help me so I can order with a good chance of success

I would suggest that you go to a wholesaler and ask to have a look at both prior to purchase just to be sure.

But just what will the ei3024 do that the ei144 won't? i.e. why change it? (unless you want the rf link module)

But why?
Presumably it's a kitchen so heat is all you need? If not a kitchen I would fit an ionisation smoke.
