hi guys

could you help with this one how would you check the functional accuracy of an insulation resistance tester

and why is a low value of resistance needed when carring out a cpc test

1: calibration. can be done by using resistors of known values. or a pre made check box (avail on this forum)

2: R2 needs to be as low as possible to allow fuse/mcb to operate

as andy said you can purchase check box most people sell them RS etc or test from a known source.

In answer to your second question why you need a low value resistance is you will be reading as low as 0.05 ohms
