Hello again,

what test instrument is most approriate for continuity testing for this installation ( 3 way lighting circuit ALTERNATIVE )

and why spacing for support for the cable is important ..in the workshop i normally have 15cm distance each clip because the more clips the more the installaion looks crowded ( clips ) any detailed idea about this PLEASE...

General info about supporting cables and avoiding mechanical stresses can be found in Chapter 52

"selection & erection of wiring systems" pages 97 109.

Guidance Note 1 (Selection & erection) has some more specific info in Appendix G page 169 onwards...

basically it gives a few tables of max recommend spacings of cable clips for different environments.

Typical spacing 300mm Hoz / 400mm Vert for non -armoured cables with diameter between 9mm - 15mm.. but there is loads more table info!
