Reminds me of the first time I used a chainsaw at my previous house, I had a large conifer about 30 ft tall which I wanted rid of as it was right next to my greenhouse.

I cut a V-shape out the trunk on the one side angled away from the greenhouse and then started to cut the trunk from opposite side.

The tree came crashing down so far and then swung round because I had not cut the vee large enough. It smashed a window in my shed which was at the bottom of the garden.

Got into right trouble with the Mrs! She was worried about the shards of glass everywhere and the possibilty of the little one hurting herself.
