Hi

I have a 6 year old male staffordshire bull terrier

Over the past few days he has small lumps that swell up around his eyes, what i cant understand is within 10 - 15 mins they are gone

This has happened about three times over the last couple of days

I have also noticed that he is sneezing more than he normally does

This would strike me as an allergy, but im no expert

I have tried to think of anything that we have changed in the house, but nothing comes to mind

If you can help point me in the right direction it would help, but it looks like it may be a trip to the vets

PS - I did do you a good deal on the fluke leads ( grovel....grovel )

Thanks

Carl

Hello Carl!

Where exactly does he swell up? All around his eyes or just a certian place? Is the hair sticking up at the same time? Does he sneeze all the time or just when his eyes swell up?

Is he on any medication? Does it happen at a specific time of the day?

Hi

He develops small lumps mainly along the bottom eyelid

The hairs do stick up when it swells

He is not on any medication

He sneezes regular throughout the day, not at a particular time

Cheers

Carl

Carl - sounds a bit like urticaria - a kind of skin allergy!

Staffies do have sensitive skin

See the pic of this horse as an bad example

Looks like you need a trip to the vets. He is likely to get some medication for allergies. Is he insured? There are some blood tests we can do to find out what but they are quite expensive.

You've not changed your washing powder? That's a common one. Changed his food?

Hi

Not changed food or washing powder, will take him to the vets and keep you posted

Thanks very much for your help, it sounds like your spot on

Carl
