The other day I managed to pop an internal 500ma fuse in my meter, part of the continuity test circuitry protection..

Anyway this got me thinking about the bigger fuses in fused test leads, used for Earth loop / PFC readings... (10A jobbies?)

I have over the course of time popped a few internal meter fuses, but never any test lead fuses!

Have you ever popped your fuses in your meter leads???

Just curious?

Had Error 21 come up on the fluke 6500 with return to factory message.......******.......took out & reinserted the fuse all sorted.

The same one? So it wasn't blown?

well, fried 3 meggers, dont know about the leads, voted yes though.

F'in meggers, banged me one of 'em did,.

but I think most of us know I hate them anyway,

only ever once blew the fuse on a fluke due to my own stoopidity. :(
