Brick Built Pond and Electrical Cabinet

Has that filtration system got them beads in it mate? And be careful advertising your pond with you know who beneath it lol

Yes I was thinking the same Matty, wouldnt want Badger to get all his fish taken whilst he is busy at work! He ought to get a decent CCTV system in place just in case anyone tries.

Actually, I might be coming over to Burntwood soon to do some PAT testing, dont worry though Badger I'm not intent on poaching with my fishing rods lol!

right then lads and lassies you all remember back in 2010 when the above pond was made and built well a few changes have happened all these years later. Firstly, the liner had to be replaced so as that was being done i took the floor of the pool out by 2 feet. making the original approx 3500 litres and the new size pool 5500 litres

Next the biological filtration that was added due to sterlet growing looked an eye sore so a new brick area above the filtration cabinet has been built enclosing the air system and the biological filtration unit, plus on the top is now a water jug pouring into pool. I hope you like the pics its been good to have a redesign.

Just a word of warning to everyone about the importance of testing rcds, as our pond one which i tested this morning before going out in a few minutes didnt trip on the test button, so ive just replaced it pronto. but please advise all customers the importance of rcd testing because like me ive just found one that didnt protect the water. Nice, but the effect would be better if the lights were under the water, or are they not IP68 rated?

the lights are underwater now but the glue needed the liner to be dry so i had to drop the level to allow the glue to completely dry.

Right folks another bank holiday special on the pond being updated here is yet another change that's happening we've taken the black filter from above and made it in to a water garden with a jug to feed the water in and there's a filter pipe behind the back that you don't see on view filling up the main water system bed the water goes from pond to sponges then to the u.v. treatment then upto the split pipe into the water garden and also feeds the jug as a decorative effect along with oxygenating purpose the output flow is via a half barrell feeding back to the pool this had all the associated plants in it and the top of the pool has the slabs removed and replaced by my dad with decking lengths with two decking boards going across the centre ish of the pool underneath this central board an underwater camera will be installed that views the fish on live view only photos to be included today for you to see what the pond looks like now
