Have spoken to a technician at Dreamland. He has confirmed most people's suspicions and said that they have had this problem before. Electric blankets need pure sine frequency, so will therefore need a Pure sine wave inverter. Due to the nature of my son's disability, he has a rare form of Poikilothermia, and the heat source needs to be on him. We have the same problem indoors all year round. Room can be toasty warm and he is cold, which is why we de ided on this rather than a night heater, ( used to drive trucks before this). We use a bair hugger indoors. Cost stupid money, inflates a blanket with warm air at 45 degrees. Have emailed the company and passed on what the tech bloke said and they are going to get back in touch with me. Many thanks for everyone's help. Will keep you updated with how I get on.
