Yes all seems fine switch is working ok its just a capacitor start motor there aint a run cap on it ive wired a few of these up and this one has got me stumped

Forgot say that when I got to motor I striped it down gave it a good clean out cleaned the contacts on the starter switch checked the windings and all looks ok someone said to me it could be the resistor in the capacitor but then it would do it every time

The pop and flash is coming feom the starter switch it dont happen all the time I can turn it on and off twenty times with no problems and I can do this both directions then all of a sudden it will happen I reset the rcd and it starts up fine with no issues
Ive got it connected to a dewhurst drum switch run windings connected to 5 and 7 start windings to 6 and 2 with the start capacitor in series with the starter switch if that makes any sense lol
its the rcd and its coming from the starter switch, I have taking the motor apart and cleaned the contacts on the switch and it makes no difference its not all the time I can stop start the motor twenty times and then pop it trips out but I reset the rcd and it starts straight up no problems
