8mm microbore rad not getting hot

It seems to be buried in screed, I daren't pull up the hallway flooring to see if it covers the entire floor though. Plastic I assume covers it all the way through the ground, atleast it starts a good foot before going in, I assume it's covered end to end, but can't verify that at the rad end...

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

It's not fully retired yet, although it could use some further modification to make a better seal, I'll try give it some welly tomorrow.

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

With the suspect pipe cut, I used a multimeter to buzz it out, thankfully it is the correct pipe (I was quite nervous during this process, If I had the wrong pipe cut... I think that may have broken me) Yes I think I will, cleaner has been in there for 24 hours now, still a firm block when...

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

The pipes come down from 1st floor, into the manifold and split off to each rad. It seems as though the pipes go into some sort of concrete or screed at ground level in the cavity I have exposed. I haven't excavated any further so I don't know for sure that its completely covered all the way to...

Could well be, I'll see what I can grab. It's frustrating, its about 10cm into the ground, looks like concrete... Replacing this is going to be a nightmare, I hope the cleaner works

I took the chance and cut that pipe after draining the system, blockage is 30cm down into the ground, not really sure what to do next as the waste pipe cleaner I have is too big and the coax I have just crumples at it, I fitted a 8-15mm adapter to the pipe and poured some central heating cleaner...

All rads hot, I’ll address the mechanical valve issue after this. Check the pipes out:

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

Manually setting the 3 port valve to open and calling for heating and hot water seems to keep my boiler operational. Previously on auto I wasn’t getting a hit or even warm, it was cold, return pipe to the boiler. I’m going to run the system for a while on max, keep everything circulating...

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

This was my logic, I've excavated some wall to get full access to the manifold, much to the horror of the Mrs. So I started filling yesterday... an hour later, no hot water, no warm rads. The problem is my boiler, it's reaching temperature, flow pipe is boiling hot, return pipe is cold, a few...

8mm microbore rad not getting hot

I googled plumbing help - and this was one of the top few other than paid responses. I didn't read much into the fact it was on an electricians forum! House is back in working order, minus a door.

I also have to put a door back on, and two cupboard sliding doors. I'm pretty good at dismantling things. Now where did I put those screws...

Very true, forgot about the big wedge of copper binding all these pipes together... A magnet? @Rob_the_rich I don't quite understand..

Reckon I could use a multimeter? Need a second pair of ears, well, just one other ear would do actually, other half is out until later.

So next steps, Do I determine the blocked pipe, if indeed one of these, but I'm suspecting it is... Cut it, get my wire drain cleaner down it to get the sludge out, then put back together? Edit: Could I reassemble using: https://www.screwfix.com/p/straight-coupling-8mm-x-8mm/20317 ?
