    3 phase mains disconnector

I think I've answered my own question by explaining it to my friend its got to depend on the distributors main fuse by the meter I would assume the main switch on a dB board has got to be equal too or greater than the fuse rating so to much demand just blows the fuse and not damage any of...

    New RCD tripping

Hi special location I did test the RCD without any loads and tripped at half the load, as for your question I wouldn't expect the RCD to trip at 6ma leakage as the RCD is a 30ma and won't trip till it senses over 30ma difference between line and neutral. And on off yes I thought about swapping...

    New RCD tripping

To be honest on off I haven't read that bit in the book as I've never had a problem testing an RCD but the way I was taught was to use my metrel at the socket or accessory and do the RCD test and it would do the 6 tests but recently after being advised I did read up on RCDs and stood corrected...

    New RCD tripping

Yes I have got the on site guide and a copy of the bs7671 18th edition and it does not say how to test an RCD without a load, only where and when to use them, the only way I have been taught to test RCDs is to do the ramp test as per the schedule of results which  on my meter does 6 tests 1x the...
