Have user code to hand. undo panel screws, remove panel cover, panel will go into tamper, enter user code, this will silence alarm, do the job, replace cover,
re-enter user code. reset panel. job done. i am a security systems engineer turned electrician ( still doing my time) O)
You have to prove your "competent" to carry out pat testing.
If you employ five or more people you need a health and safety policy, not pat testing as there is no direct requirement that states "you must have pat testing" . Instead the requirement is from the electricity at work regulations...
I truly hope I can provide a explanation to this standard in my career after I am qualified!
