    Hi - I got my level 3 cert in 2007 and have done a few jobs since ( I work full time in another field) but now looking to get more serious. I am getting work though a new channel and expect this to become 'regular'. I need to be able to work with an experienced electrician to learn this...

    Check your startups. If you have installed a lot of software (easy enough to do) you may be starting lots of applications up. Also - some take longer to start than others, especially anti-virus (make sure you have one and only one), and oher anti-malware software. There are a number of freeware...
