Also the new relay does not show 98,97,96,95 on the relay, they are just blank. The purple and red cable I have connected to nc. As it's not marked may they be the wrong way round? No that's what I said and my original thought. The wholesaler said the next one up is 32a. I can't see how they...

What do you mean steps. Basically ask the wholesaler to do a like for like swap. But the only difference is the little switch at the bottom on the original one is max 15a but with 3a-8a. And the one i was given was 15a but 1a- 1.8a Both rated 415 v at 5.5kw

Thought so. Its a Overload relay with start and stop switch. But cuts out after 5 Seconds on 1a and then Cutts out about 32 seconds on 1.8a. Think they supplied the wrong relay

Hello. Just wondering what the switch is for on a relay? The one that rates from say 1a, 1.3a, 1.5a, 1.8a for example? Cheers

They used 3 core. I found it by putting a amp meter around each core and got 45a on every core.

that is what i have done. its goes from the 25mm to the 16mm not 16mm front end then join on the 25mm. even if if it does drop cable size 16mm should still be ok for the total load.  front end 25mm swa 240v at 25mm to 16mm join 160V consumer unit. 16mm 160V
