So I can test the spur without a qualification? Just need to be competent?

Hi all! First time posting here apologies if it's already been answered or if it's in the wrong spot! I'm an alarm engineer, to my knowledge someone who fits an indoor fuse spur (excluding bathrooms) doesn't need an actual qualification to do this just has to be competent, is this correct? Thanks!
