Gonna be assuming its the neutrals in other circuits creating a parallel path to earth and unbalancing the total neutral current. A new USB socket has been fitted upstairs by the owner.  Let's see what a few tests reveal.  Will post back what I find.  Have a a great weekend all 👍🏻

It's an newish board but old wiring.  Could it it be tripping through the neutral? 

Hey guys.  Hooefully someone can help.  Why does turning off my upstairs sockets breaker it trips my rcd? Turn it back on and it's fine. Only trips when I turn breaker off. Board is approx 10 years old and only 1 RCD present.  Any help would be great 👍🏻 thanks 

Thanks all.  Wifi doesn't extend all over the house so thought about getting some extenders but just wondered the best solution. Tbh its all to with Sky broadband which is going soon as 7mb isn't fast enough for me.

I have a large control box in a meter room of an apartment block that's linked to a service head and a meter.  The control box has "primary" and 'secondary' lights and 'healthy supply' lights. Only 2 blocks out of over 20 have this set up. would anyone know what this control box is for? ...

Ok. So would I be right in saying... Trace back to where it's been 'borrowed' - remove it and run a neutral from a downstairs light (hallway) Has anyone got a 'best practise' method they use? 

If some could explain a 'borrowed neutral' or live, that would be great

I know exactly how to do 2 way lighting but this was something I'd not seen before. Previous owner was 'old timer' sparkie dodging the devil by the sounds of it. I'll carry on doing my 'safe' electrics the way I know how.  Very quick responses so will be back if I need more help.  Thanks...
