    Yep, I think it's all good. A 10min mooch today revealed which connection in the main control panel is affected so I can just series connect the addition in line a Robert should be my fathers brother! thanks for the pointers

    hehe. Heavy duty pvc conduit is ok I'm assuming. The existing is all in Steel. I'll take the cable size needed as the same as installed.

    yes I see, my apologies, removing the neutrals feels a bit simpler and less faff. I'm glad my thinking was at least accurate even if it's not the standard way, if there is such a thing.

    That would involve having more than 1 rcd in the ccu to begin with.  The point of the testing is with a view to rcbo'ing the board.
