    supplying garden shed

Yes, the main idea is that the fuse will not blow, by making sure that the load is spread and not connected to one supply point, this is a good design...

There is something that called "overloading", was it cancelled or still needs to be considered as part of the design...? :innocent just asking...

I do not want to sound patronising, but there is a very simple tool to strip flex cables, it is safe and simple...

    supplying garden shed

How many times you find that a garage/shed is supplied via 13A FCU, and then 6 months later the "only light and one double socket" became a source of supply to a 6 or 8 ways extension cable with appliances and tools connected to it... What seems to be an overkill, in many cases is "The best...

PC Electrics - I think that in principle I agree with samson337, firstly to can not say that he is not honest enough... You don't know. The other thing is that I always offer and recommend my customers the Rolls Royce option, among other options, I explain the differences and let them decide...

    supplying garden shed

I think that a separated supply, with an isolator in the house and then supply to the shed with armoured to the mini CU. I just wondered what you guys think, the same situation but there is a free slot in the house CU, 4mm2 armoured to a mini CU in the shed with 3 RCBOs (I always use a supply...

    Odd/silly question

If the cables go inside a wall partition less than 50mm deep and not in a safety zone, it has to be: in metal conduit or RCD protected or armoured cable type. The relevance to your question is that there is a flex cable that complies with the requirements of armoured cable...so if you like flex...

Now THAT was a decent board.

Just to add a bit to the advantages of a metalclad enclosure; I would say that in many cases the supply to the CU is via armoured cable, I cannot see that a plastic enclosure will give the same connection quality as a metal one... :C

Now THAT was a decent board.

why? don't you have a main fuse in a TT system?!

Now THAT was a decent board.

If you intend to go through all the wrong things you can find in electrical installations, even by registered electricians, you will have a long list... My point is that if you do things the right way, put the grommet where it should be, make sure that the connection in the CU does not have...

Now THAT was a decent board.

I think that this is the obvious, even for a plastic enclosure...

Except good earth...?, RCBOs will do nicely for TT...

Now THAT was a decent board.

No flack, but as a metal clad CU boxes and RCBOs user, for the time being, I could not find something that will convince me to stop using Hager. Using split load system complies with 7671, 17th edition, I cannot fail it. I just think that it is not safe and practical enough.

    outside sensor light?????

Hi, If the supply cable is 4mm all the way to the fused spur, you can leave it as 13A. BTW; we can always find something wrong with a finished job, and always think that there is a better way to do it. I think that it looks fine...

What about the ones that are NAPIT members but consider joining the NICEIC (relating to the last letter I received from NICEIC, I can join for free! until the end date of the existing membership with NAPIT).
