Thanks for all the advice lads, gonna use the existing 2.5 on a 20A mcb. The reason why I had a 2.5 ring cable in was when did the first fix last week it was only supposed to be hob and small oven. As is usual I get hear today and the lady of the house has changed it to a big double one.

What about if I feed the oven in 2x 2.5 mm in parallel on a 32a mcb and will leavethe other four outlets on the house ring

If its rated 20a , could I take diversity into account( first 10a + 30%) and put it on a FCU. It is going to be a pain to put new feed in so just trying to explore my options. Cheers for all the swift replies. :)

Just on a job adding sockets to a kitchen ring. I have noticed that the cooker switch in the ring supplying the oven is now going to be supplying a oven that will be drawing 20a max. Have not got my regs to hand so was not sure if this ok , does the oven need to be on its own circuit or will it...

Thanks for the reply Andy, if a use a 230-12 power supply would he still be in the position where he would have to hook it up to 230 once he got to where he was working. Apologies if this is stupid question just want to make sure I know what the best way to do this before I start it next week.
