OK, here are some pics of the second fireplace job I was on about doing.
I was holding on before I posted because the punter said he was going to send me some more 'after' shots when he'd got wallpaper patched in and fire in place. This hasn't happened yet but I'll add them after.
Task at hand:
I manged to take a few shots while working but it was a very busy day to get it all done so kinda forgot about taking pics.
Before I started.
Old fire out and capped.
New fire to go in. Well, new to them. It was practically new, but had been stored
Old insert and surround gone.
Bricks in to create right size hole for electric fire. Electrics in (long drill bit and a good shot), Fish in ready for Audio/Video going in.
Audio/Video in and brushed plate on, Can't tell I've been lol
TV bracket up and everything second fixed at TV end
Backing plaster (hardwall) and skirting on
And thats as far as I got pics wise. Then it got late and mind switched off. All I did after that was skim the area and connect the fire. Put hanging bracket on fo fire but left it out for plaster to dry and to make it easier to paper.
