This is the second set which won't work to replace the current spots here in my kitchen. All they do is flash once quickly. I'm replacing standard older halogen and wanted to use LEDs but for some reason this is still happening.
I've looked above the kitchen unit and can see a transformer? Is it this which isn't correct?

These are the spots I purchased:

MR16 LED Light Bulbs, GU5.3

Thanks for any light anyone can shed please 🙏

Yes, you'll need to replace the transformer with an LED driver, how many lamps are there?

I really? well there's one transformer on the side of one of these spots I want to replace and another one to the right of the cooker hood where I have another one of these. The attached shows this transformer and I can see its feeding 3 spots including this MR16 I am trying to sort out.:IMG_4056.jpgThe other transformer on the right of the hood which also has another MR16 and two more spots. (3 in total) uses just that one transformer as well.
The other spots are Kitchen undermount spots which I also changed to LED (3000K, 2W Replacement 20W Halogen Bulb, 12V AC/DC):

The little box with the three plugs is just a convenient, (if not very neat) way of connecting the lights together and can be left in situ.
Replace the transformer with a 12 volt constant voltage LED driver with a wattage exceeding the total wattage of your three spots.
Note they are probably polarity sensitive, which the halogens were not. If they don't work one way around, no harm done, just reverse them.
Repeat for the other side of the kitchen and all will be well.
I'm assuming the circuit is just switched on/off, not from a dimmer? (Asking as the old halogen transformer was dimmable)

Hi there, this sounds like it might just do the trick? It's not from a dimmer at the moment (maybe in the future I will change it) not necessary at the moment so I won't worry about that aspect.

So you say I need to search for a transformer with a 12 volt constant voltage LED driver?
When you say wattage of the spots, I guess its as follows if Im looking at the right wattage on the lights I replaced/replacing so far:

1 x these MR16s which are 5w according to the listing - TOTAL of 1 x 5W
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0B252NJCS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
2 x these which are 2w according to the listing - TOTAL of 2 x 5W = 10W
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QB5TFVR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1SO my calculation are 15W transformer? Looking at what I already have it states 10-60W? so wondering why that needs replacing?
Unless the spec on those links which state the halogen spec of what the less output so that would be MR16 = 50W and 2 x G4s which are 20W so 50+20+20 = 90W transformer?

Have I got this right? so this would be what I need?

What you have currently is a transformer where the voltage will vary with the load applied to it which makes it unsuitable for LED lamps which need a constant voltage

I would go for one of these which is a bit cheaper than the outdoor one you link to

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Transforme...rs&sprefix=led+driver,outdoor,127&sr=1-4&th=1

Oh I see then just use the same mains cables from the one I have already? I see the link is for the 24W? so my original calc of 15W was right and this is well within this range? Is that why you have suggested it? Thankyou!

Don't decide to fit a dimmer later. If you did want a dimmer, the dimmer unit and the led driver have to be compatible, and this is a minefield which sometimes has professionals tearing out their hair.

Actually 2 X 2 is 4. so I make your load 9 watts. You could use a lower rated driver, but it doesn't really matter. There is no lower limit quoted on the suggested one.

I’ll be ordering the one that was mentioned above from @UNG From Amazon right now it will arrive tomorrow so I’ll give you the heads up if it all works. Hopefully fingers crossed! And I take your point About the dimmer 👍
