Imagine a Britain of long ago, when music was some sort of boring stuff,  OK there was Jazz  but not to everyone's taste.  When we'd never heard Blues  or Rhythm & Blues .

Older teenagers were talking about something called Rock & Roll ,  but it wasn't on the TV or the radio .   You had to go to a coffee bar or cafe with a juke box ...so we put a few coins in ...and I'm telling you , the world changed  .

Theres this guy called Elvis playing a basic rhythm and singing , a stand up bass and Scotty Moore on lead guitar , nothing else,       I'm still captivated by those rhythms & guitar breaks in Mystery Train  - Hound Dog -  Heartbreak Hotel -  Blue Suede Shoes - All Shook Up   etc

Probably old hat to younger guys but those first recordings from the Sun Studios in Memphis changed everything .
