I am getting an electric car in September and been talking to charge point installers. I have a 56 metre run from fuse box to garage where car would be parked. Looking at 10mm2 SWA 3-core cable on 32 amp supply. Would this be sufficient a mm2 for length of route. Im burying it down to 45cm where I can except under paths. I have a Hauraton drain on my drivr which is 10cm deep and has metal grates on it. Was speaking to an electrician via a builder neoghbour. Who said I could run SWA directly in the channel by drilling into paving edges either side. So So cable would remain underground. Would concrete over anything less than 10cm down on either side and take cable down to 45cm. This is a picture of length which is about 6 metres. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0QyGp5fy0fY9fPDm_dkepmvxA#Home Each side has a concrete edge on it, https://share.icloud.com/photos/06duNQmN6TAwejBPh1pbcW-Bw#Home so was planning to drill a 30mm hole into concrete for SWA cable and run on bottom of plastic drain. I’d checked with installer and another electrican. But to be legal hence question before doing anything. Thanks andrew
