Hi, I’m having trouble linking my thermostat, to the boiler, my original thermostat broke, this was a two wire one. Iv now bought a new one also two wire but boiler is not firing up, the fuse switch is fine connecting the boiler, but iv just noticed the new thermostat is not a hot water one. Will this effect the boiler firing up?

Sorry, but far too little information for anyone to help you. What EXACTLY broke?. How do you know it broke? What EXACTLY have you bought to replace it with?
Also what sort of heating system do you have? eg a combi, or a storage system with three way valve, etc?
