No not the ones at Bletchley Park!

This caught my eye today in the NAPIT Code Breakers book

Not sure I agree with any of these C2's in section 5.10

If those codes get applied then every house without full RCD protection would get an "unsatisfactory"

Current best practice guide suggests C3 for no RCD on buried cables..

How do you know a concealed cable is running diagonally???   :C

Never used / seen the code breakers books..

as always been able to establish appropriate code's based on my previous knowledge...

Copy of BS7671 and the above guide..

on a new build property, then maybe appropriate codes as there is no excuse for not being compliant, on older properties, we would be re-wiring almost every house - rediculous! 

 
i dont have x ray vision either. i usually just remove socket, grab cable and pull, you can then easily see which way it goes, and if its diagonal then its now surface so no need for RCD
