Deadline for EICR's

I do a few EICR's - mainly for existing customers.

There seem to be a never ending stream of calls from landlords and lettings agents to get these done BUT with Covid and the number of rental properties around it seems to me that the 31st March 2021 deadline is going to be a big "fail" for lots of people.

One local lettings agent still has 400 properties to get tested - they weren't very impressed when I stated I wouldn't work for agents - only directly for landlords.

Does anybody know if there is an extension to these dates?

Who is going to enforce it anyway, the legislation was never very clear on that point.

Most councils were already swamped with work before it's introduction, Liverpool had a landlords licensing scheme in place but that was scrapped by the government last year just as it may have had some teeth.

Since Covid most things have had some time extension whether PRS legislation has slipped under the radar is anybodies guess

I heard somewhere it had been extended to July BUT i have never been able to confirm this.

doing 2 of my mates rentals tomorrow, my 3 rentals within the next couple,of weeks.   After that?  Not my circus, not my monkeys
