User manual states that the cable type/section is the ff:

HO5VV-FG 5 x 1,5mm (squared)

What does this mean and can anybody tell me where I can buy this? Cheers.

Some of the Bosch ovens I have seen have the option to wire to 3-phase OR single depending on the setting i.e. domestic or commercial. I wonder if that's where the 5 core thing comes from i.e. 3P+N+E. Saying that the Beko manual (link below) also seems to suggest that 3-core 2.5mm sq is OK?

Page 5 for cable spec, page 12 for diagram. .

Wickes do 3 x 2.5mm sq heat resistant cable suitable for hobs etc - 5 metres for about

If it's on 3 phase, then 1.5mm 5 core will be fine.

BUT you CANNOT use 5 core 1.5mm and then join all 3 L's together to a single phase supply as then the neutral current would almost certainly exceed the rating of one 1.5mm core.

(on a 3 phase install, the neutral would only carry the imbalance current between the 3 phases, indeed if all 3 phases were loaded equally there would be no current in the neutral)

So are you installing on a 3 phase or single phase supply?
