Hi Guys,

I am now on my 3rd OSG in as many years as they have mainly been ripped, torn, damaged by water/tools etc. So, does any one know if they do a laminated one? As this would:) i am sure increase its life.

I am not aware of any that are laminated, mine are generally thread bare after a year or so.

Then i may have stumbled onto a winner! How many of the members would be interested in having one? maybe some more investigation is required. (already i can see my retirement villa)

It's easily done. I have a laminator and comb binding machine. The reason, I suspect, is the added cost. To do them manually you would be looking at +

don't bother because by the time they start to wear out they will bring out an amendment and you will need the latest updated book

Andy i like the idea of this as the phone is always with you (or do i mean the force?) any chance mate, of sending me a link as to where i can get it from?

Is there an iphone app?
I have often looked to see that myself, and apart from a couple of cable calculators, with limited use, everthing else appears to be useless, unless of course you work in the USA and happen to use AWS sized cables and not metric.

yep comes out in oct including amendment 1

is it worth buying the new OSG (green book) or will the amended info not really be of any interest to non-specialised electricians? And can any one simplify amendment no.1?

does anybody know what amendment 1 is all about? & will it affect "normal" electricians, or is it specialised? And - is it worth upgrading to yet another OSG (the green one?)
