Hi all,

Just looking for some advice or alternative solution.

We have an event coming up (no power available) and wish to have a temporary power supply to supply a display lit stand (240v) , a  TV (240v, 400w) and  2 laptops for approximately 2 hours in the morning and 2 -3 hours in the afternoon.  Any suggestions on a temporary power source (no generator allowed) to allow constant 240v power.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

John

Could you drive this lot on portable solar panels, bearing in mind the trailing leads?

A Steptoe suggested, many Tv's  are now are 12v running through a transformer. A couple of car batteries or booster packs should do the trick

Any inverter really uses up the battery power a lot lot quicker than you would imagine

Use LED lights for the display
