What file size for galv tray

Hi
Not sure if I’ve put in right forum so apologies if not. Just wanted to ask what size,shape etc file people could best when filing down galv tray with return flange. Always becomes a pain so wanted to see what others find best!!!??

always thought a half-round file is a good allrounder

normal size half round does for most jobs

Just a normal half round file, Pinch the edge of the return to taper it down to nothing at the end, dress with file, if available, finish with some sandpaper (be careful not to rub the surface and take the galv coating off) finish with a bit of cold galv spray
