Which Browser

I currently use IE 8 but find it incredibly slow and not very stableheadbang. I'm thinking of changing browser but which should I go for. I'm sure you people on here have experience of different web browsers and which is better and which to avoid.

I use Firefox and we have Google Chrome and IE at work. I can swap between the three with ease, although I chose FF for my own computer.

I've recently discovered FireFox and like it. It's certainly very quick and doesn't seem to use up too much resource.

Pretty much anything other than ie8.

FireFox, Opera, Safari etc., etc.

FireFox is the generally preferred browser to ie, so try that first would be my advice.

Edit:

DON'T uninstall Explorer though (unless you have to). There are a small percentage of sites (usually MS or affiliated) that can't be accessed with FF and you may need to browse such via Explorer.

You can uninstall IE8, and it will revert to IE7.

Then just hide the IE8 update.

I use firefox with noscript plugin http://noscript.net/

Firefox is the way to go. With a lot of addons you can use and it loads up faster in my opinion!
