As far as I'm aware I'll be using the "com" and "no" contacts as when I press the button I will want the light on to then witch off on the set time.   In regards to the light itself as shown above do I split the cable and direct it back from the timer 😳

Ok thanks for that. So I picked up an elkay timef from Screwfix this evening seems like it'll work. Now for the hard part to wire it .  Had a quick Google to see about direction but not much luck. any advice on the matter?

That is correct. I was going to use a switch on it and use my phone for a timer which would work but this process will be quite frequent so would be tedious and it needs to be very accurate so not 100% reliable
