    Help wiring my light swicth

    the 2 brown wires in COM go in the ꭕ single to L1 - Neutrals in connector block. if its a metal switch earth to the E on switch.

    Remember you still need a permanent feed for them. I've seen lots of them wired into the nearest light with only a switched feed.

    When i renewed mine a couple of months age the guy running the test had to tell one chap to stop writing when the test was finished. myself and the guys either side were done in 5 mins.

    yes do dead tests then sit in van and make up live tests. probably as good a result as his idea. be as well not recording them at all.

    Asked him where i get the Ze to calculate without live testing and told by inquiry!! Apparently live testing is an unnecessary risk.

    on my last annual nic inspection the guy said i should calculate Zs not measure it as i shouldn't be working live.

    Have a look at Jokari https://www.jokari.de/ they seem to cope better with rubbery cable than wire strippers do.

    I have the Armeg one, it;s quick to use and saves having to faff about repairing the hole. You do need a drill with a bit of grunt to drive it.

    no it's a diesel, it's ok for the mostly short journeys i do but you notice it on long hills and pulling out of junctions. being fwd it seems to wear the front tires quicker than the rears. with all the weight in the back its quite light on the front end and doesn't grip very well in mud, snow etc.

    I've had a combo for about 3 years good points - reliable, like a car to drive, has bt racking for all my gear, bad points - it's a 1300 so a bit gutless, racking goes across the van so any long stuff has to go on the roof, (in 2 minds as to take it out or not), drivers mirror is a huge blind...
