I have been told by manager of retirement complex that they don't control room temperature and mine certainly do not bear any relation to my room thermometer. Can anyone recommend any good brands for searching for one and would they just be described as 'thermostats'? Doesn't have a name on it

No - have tried but no give at all - our apartment manager said another apartment owner had complained of same. She called an electrician who advised her to "have digital replacements that would show the warmth of the room rather than the floor" so maybe I will try the same route - thank you...

ProDave - there doesn't appear to be a way of taking the front off easily - no screws visible anywhere - I will attempt to post a photo tho dont know if it will work

I am in my 80's and totally confused with the Gledhill Eco system which runs on Economy 7 in my new apartment - do I have to set the Economy 7 times or does Scottish Power do this. My meter is in a communal room and most other residents seem to be with EON
