Board upgrade and new feed tails

Thanks for your reply...he's done the work and im very happy. Went with the larger tails (25mm) and he put a large earthed hd galv cover full length of cables, with plenty of rawlplugs and screws to secure it (he bent this over at top, to avoid sharp edge) and put on some of left over cable...

Cheers. Armoured cable he suggested, but on the outside. Guess this could be run on the inside as well.

Board upgrade and new feed tails

Not sure tbh? Will it need the breeze block chased ? Be some mess I would have thought....it's being plastered over anyway when done

Board upgrade and new feed tails

Spark said it would future proof it. I was thinking 60amp by electric board but 63 in the proposed switch ? Confused?

Board upgrade and new feed tails

He's proposing earthed galv cover strip fully fixed and full length of wall and a fused D.P. switch (not RCD) fuse and isolation only

Only about another metre, possibly 1.5m at most. And in 25mm single core cables (double insulations) 16mm earthing cable

Board upgrade and new feed tails

Morning Been looking to have my main fusebox swapped (all rcbo type circuits) will need more capacity (especially in the kitchen in the future) The meter is outside on porch wall and existing fusebox is other side of porch inside, near the ceiling. Spark is saying that owing to dot and dab...

    Extending a circuit

Hi Murdoch. The distance is 21 lm, all in SWA now (following advice on here) The volt drop is way under the 4 / 3 % threshold (165.9 millivolts) and the CCC (I assume this is cable current capacity?) If so this is 62 amps, this however is based on two core 6mm. The 3 core tables only appear to...

    Extending a circuit

Thanks for the tip, I will do just that, you men have made me change my mind ref putting this in as one run in SWA.

    Extending a circuit

Thank you for input. I'll get my head around running it completely in SWA. Ref animals chewing through. I wasn't planning to run any of the Hi-tuff outside. I get your point on the unnecessary connection. Thanks again.

    Extending a circuit

I have thought about this, but the internal part I just know would be difficult. Only a few slight ish bends to consider, but Ive used SWA before and with its weight and relative inflexibility vs Hi-tuff means I go with this on int. The majority of the ext run, bar a very short section...
