    NVQ Course online.

Thanks for all the opinions lads, think I'll book the course on a CC and just have to py it over a couple of months. So if you're on a site in the NW in the next few months and someone asks you could you take a picture whilst he just bends this pipe. Don't run away it probably will just be me.

Settle a argument over disconnection times.

Thanks for the replies lads. It was not the C&G test it was actually a electrical knowledge test for a job which just caused a bit of a debate in the van today. What would be the exceptions to this then as mentioned in 411.3.2.3?

Settle a argument over disconnection times.

Wonder if a difference of opinion could be settled. A lad I work with was posed a question on a test "what is the maximum disconnection time in a 6a TN lighting circuit". The answer was given as 0.4 whilst I thought on that information available the answer would be 5s. ELECSA technical have...

SL thanks for taking the time to post that detailed reply, informative as always. I think Andy has stolen my thunder with his reply. I know the Zs reading was well within permitted limits but as it was a figure that I was not expecting to much in respect to all my other results and I was...

    EICR coding

I am having similar problems with coding after doing my first ECR this week. I had a lighting circuit with Zs of 2.54ohm and a insulation between line and CPU of 76Mohm. On the old PIR I would have classed as needs further investigation, would it now be a C3. Thanks. Sorry for hijacking your...

    20a cooker in 32a ring

If its rated 20a , could I take diversity into account( first 10a + 30%) and put it on a FCU. It is going to be a pain to put new feed in so just trying to explore my options. Cheers for all the swift replies. :)

    20a cooker in 32a ring

Just on a job adding sockets to a kitchen ring. I have noticed that the cooker switch in the ring supplying the oven is now going to be supplying a oven that will be drawing 20a max. Have not got my regs to hand so was not sure if this ok , does the oven need to be on its own circuit or will it...
