    fuseboard split load

Thanks All, Previously, i have put Ring up,lights down on one RCD and Ring down and lights up on the other RCD. Other circuits i have spread across the 2 RCD's for loading purposes ie kitchen ring on one RCD and cooker on the other RCD. This is purely because of cost as i always try to fit...

    fuseboard split load

When installing a new split load RCD fuseboard, what is the best practice for putting which circuits on which RCD bank. What does the NICEIC reccommend. This does confuse me a bit talking to different electricians. Thanks Rob

    LED downlights

Pump overrun and Satisfied / Call crossed

Thanks KME! So to test the satisfied / call circuit.........if i just turn cylinder stat up to say 55 the boiler will kick in.......turn it down and boiler will turn off(after a period). So what is the point of the satisfied (to 3 port valve)connection , surely all you need is the above...

Pump overrun and Satisfied / Call crossed

Can somebody firstly tell me what the reason is for the pump overrun on combi boilers? Secondly what would the fault be if the Satisfied and Call connections were crossed from the cylinder thermostat? Many thanks Rob

    Air Con bonding

Thanks Evans,It made me suspicious when i was aked the question.I think the air con installers were trying to get supply from light circuit!!!!!1 which is why this came up!!!

    Air Con bonding

Thanks Andy, So to confirm the ducting is part of the electrical system and therefore earthed via CPC at fan connections.

    Air Con bonding

Hi Sidewinder,i take it you mean main bonding from fuseboard to ducting not via adjacent light circuit???
  15. R

    Air Con bonding

Hi Andy, this is what i have been told by the firm i work for. The firm that fitted air con also said no earth to the lights!!!! ---------- Post Auto-Merged at 17:50 ---------- Previous post was made at 17:17 ---------- Personally, i don't think it requires earth to the adjacent light circuit...

    Air Con bonding

In a loft space for a flat an air conditioning system has been installed and supplied on own circuit from Fuseboard. Will this require supplementry bonding to adjacent light circuit and if so at every light accessory or will just one point suffice???????Thanks Rob

    New shower circuit

I have a new circuit shower to fit with no old circuit to use.I am correct in saying i cannot run cable in the cavity ( regs )to reach the loft for the drop down into shower. Is it ok to chase up internal walls to achieve this with metal capping of course? Cheers Rob
