Years ago when short of manpower after WW2   they shipped Mexican labourers in to work  picking crops etc  then deported them when finished .  

In the



1940's  Woody Guthrie wrote a protest song  about a plane crash that occurred  in California .     Can't see an original by Woody  but this by K T Tunstall is right on the  ball .
