that I believe is the current requirements, but does not apply to existing.

Possibly for the bathroom one Binky. Would have to be to left of his window and few joists needed to drill for cabling so few holes cut out for that. So not to sure even if that good move. Where cooker concerned no chance got cupboards on wall to exterior

Dave, holes for cables is not an issue, half way up joists and 600mm from ends is plenty. 
re cooker run the duct on top of cupboards  to outside wall.

Your really helpful it's what he has already he's asked for external extraction. Anyway can't be arsed with job to much ag
