I went to see a client this morning that I have recently carried out an EICR prior to them moving in to their new retirement flat.

They have the following oven installed 'Electrolux eob 944'. The oven is fine when it is set to grill, but trips the RCD when selected to fan oven and the temperature gauge. i am thinking it could be a doggy fan or fan oven element... but if this was the case the MCB should be tripping surly.....

any ideas.. :pray

Many Thanks

Do an insulation test on the element first. It would be embarasing to replace the element, only to find the fan was the problem.

should use cpc.farnell.com/'>CPC - they have universal elements around £5-9. iirc P&P is about £5 for orders under £45
