The following are from a local school (the place I posted about..the wooden outbuilding) & was only installed three weeks ago & has been certificated (yet to see that myself).

I was there to add a socket to the ringmain, they forgot to put one under the worktop for the fridges ROTFWL .

The feed to the incomer looks a bit weird wht cable is that?

Wht is tht earth that is cut off in that last pic?

them main tails look like that have had some right hammering... but they dont look right as above. the sheathing doesn't look "normal"

That earth looks like a 10mm lol i wonder :D

oh and that screws a tad over tightened lol

Yep MEC is 10mm run from main building TNS supply.

This is the place where they couldnt use the 3rd core (the yellow one thats cut off) for the cpc as the cable has been jointed underground & the spark said he was told by niceic that he couldnt use it as MEC because of the joint. Then the local authority said no to him TT'ing the installation & said they wanted a seperate cpc run in.

The other laughable thing is (and I should have got a picture) all acsessories are at a level to comply with part M ....................... so they put the cu up at a height of 9ft from floor level.

Hmmm, you all seem quite critical here, if this was a PIR what observations and codes?
For starters lack of rcd / rcbo for the first 2 circuits ;)

Why do they need RCD protection?

I'm not trying to be awkward here, I'm trying to see what others obviously can, the workmanship may not be top drawer but I'm struggling to see the disaster that others seem to be seeing.

aren't the incomers the wrong way round, the red live should be on the inside, right?

Don't schools or the Authourity that controls them have personnel come round to check any works carried out on their buildings these days?

Looks like their finger got stuck on the thrigger of the "Expanding Foam Gun" too. :(
