The above suggests that the work is inspection and testing related. However you say:

UTR number essential
However I'd consider that I&T would come under the heading of "professional work, like architects' services" that the HMRC lists as never a construction operation

I'm not interested, I'm allergic to London, however just though I'd point that one out

problem being, a lot of contractors dont pay any attention to what is or isnt included. its not just I&T thats excluded, repair & maintenance is, along with some small installation work. yet there doesnt seem to be many contractors who actually know this

I do a LOT of I&T and maintenance for a contractor that CIS's me,

I dont mind actually as it pays the tax for most of my other work through the year,

but, thats just me maybe, it suits how it works for me.

Steps,

I thought you were now working for a Ltd. Co. & PAYE?

You should ask them & their accountant, ASAP, because you should not really be paying tax outside the PAYE system when you are employed, is mucks everything up.

Apologies, we have incorrectly stated that Elekcell UK Ltd is NIC/EIC registered so please ignore. I have tried editing/deleting the post to no avail.
