No not a Royal Marine.

I'm in the proccess of installing drop cables in fire stations, so the fire engines batteries can be kept charged.

They used to use retracting reels, but the drivers kept forgetting to pull the leads to retract the cables when they were off out the station, ending up with lots of squashed cables/connectors & the occational mcardy reel pulled out of the celing when the cable hooked to the vehicle (i think the planks forget to unplug & drive off), to be seen bouncing behind the lorry motoring to an incident.

So before any claims were made, I'm now fitting these

Crimp joint of 2.5mm to 2.5mm flex coil

Used jack chain through centre of coil flex to help with support.

At this station there are 4x drops each wired as an individual circuit in 2.5mm singles with 16amp rcbo's.

Only got another 16 stations to go

Yeah most services have this problem some reasons drivers forget to take them out, if i was a driver it would be pulled out all the time :)
