Hi I am a new member who is not an electrician but am an electrical engineer. I am a professional member of the IET and a member of the IEEE.
Communications, Data Center DR and testing (infrastructure and software) are some of my areas of expertise.
I joined because I am expanding my horizons - I have installed a Solar PV system and am looking at home automation.
I will probably do some certifications as well.

welcome to the forum. Some of the worst work I've seen was done by IET members .

I wasn't much better before I retrained, I had electrical theory knowledge from years in engineering, but, that doesn't teach good electrical installation standards - I've spent many years learning the errors of my ways
