Icon low voltage fan

Hi. I've just joined the forum, as I am having problems with my Icon low voltage extractor fan and was hoping someone could help? I put in a new timed module with pull cord, but the timer wont work and the fan wont come on via the light switch as it previously did. It will only work by pulling the cord. I'm not a sparky so have no idea why it wont work properly. Thanks. Martyn
