need to replace the shower like for like otherwise the cost will be huge

Is it a badged one ie triton if so you could look on there website for a suitable replacement as a straight swap.

I bet they are Triton or Gainsbourgh Theo , those "Own brand " things usually have the Triton sticker inside.

Wickes showers are Triton but often sold cheaper . No I don't get it either ! :C

Best thing would be to phone Triton Technical Dept, They are usually helpfull , specially if you are trying to replace like for like without damage.
