Installed skt for customer yesterday.

lecccy on and off during fitting and testing

all,ok

phone call today......Security light wont go off

nip round, 5 mins away

suspect PIR gone moody due to power on and off a few times

mains out of DB to JB, cables out to 2 TH fttgs, one switch, one PIR......ALL CABLES ARE T&E!!

nice bit of black sleeving on the ECC or whatever we call,it this week!

no earths to anything

whats not to like?

left disconnected, going back next week....bin the lot and fit one LED c/w PIR!

now i remember why i dislike domestic so much

A lot of PIR sensors have an "override" mode if you switch power off and back on quickly. you probably just triggered that?

Edit; probably that last push of the RCD test button what did it.

Bigger issue was the nice CPC switch wire and lack of earth at everything.

Customer will pay , no problem. He can see it is wrong and wants PIR moving anyway

so ....Monday.  & tuesday   2x200kVA UPS/AMF/ genny to,sort out

wednesday....LED PIR.....i do like variety
