Vailant ecoTEC 28 pro combi boiler (Radiators only. (Off function)

Hi. I have the above model of combi boiler. This version has this operating dials...etc as shown. I'd like to quickly turn off just the radiators from the boiler instead of the thermostat. Which in itself is a pain, as you have to go into the thermostat programing to lower the only 2 settings it provides for on/off during a 24hr period. I've guesstimated I needed to turn the RAD Dial fully anticlockwise on the boile front, but I noticed the LED display displayed 30. Does this mean it's not off, but will it still fire up the pump and gas?

Does your programmable thermostat not also have a simple ON/OFF button?
