Hello everyone

I was given this motor to check out and I have just got round to it. There are no markings on the motor. I wanted to see if it is worth repairing.

Putting the multimeter on the 200 Ohms scale I get:

Red to White  59.8

Red to Blue    09.2

Red to Black  18.0

Red to Earth   0.0

White to Blue 50.9

White to Black 42.3

White to Earth 0.0

Blue to black   08.8

Blue to Earth  0.0

Black to Earth 0.0

From these readings can anyone tell if it is what to expect.

Thanks

Those readings don't make sense

If red, white and blue individually test as 0 ohms to earth, then how can say red to white be anything other than 0 as well?

Thanks for all your responses.

ProDave you are correct, my apologies.

I rechecked. No readings red/white/blue to earth.

I believe this unit is from a cooker hood. Tripping the circuit. No markings as to make/model on it.

Just wanted to know if readings indicate fault. If not possible from info I have given I will just put it together and try see if it works.
